Creme de Couture
FOR SIGMA BEAUTY
Of the four years I was a designer at Sigma Beauty breathing new life into the Creme de Couture Collection was amongst my favorite projects and biggest honors.

I was blessed with the opportunity to create art and packaging for Sigma Beauty's Winter 2017 rerelease of their coveted Creme de Couture Palette, which has slowly developed a cult following since it rapidly sold out during it's initial debut. This makeup collection set the tone for their 2017 Holiday Collection as well.

The first Creme de Couture Collection, while cute, was a little kitschy and missed what it was inspired by. Amanda Williams, mastermind and Creative Director, behind the brand and collection, wanted the rerelease to be sophisticated and artfully capture the original essence: french macarons.

In order to achieve the vibe we wanted, I proposed we incorporate marbled paper to reference luxury chocolate and candy boxes. Once approved, I spent three weeks marbling paper with nail polish (saying 'au revoir!' to half my brain cells in the process lol). Then, we met as a team and selected which pieces were the creme dele creme. One of the photographers, Antonio, and I took the art through a process of digitizing them. From there, I made mockups of what the packaging could look like. After we had established all the details I proceeded to construct the production files. Months later... voilà!

The new limited edition collection included 4 long wearing vivid liquid lipsticks with coordinating packaging, and a makeup pigment palette. It was sold internationally, including at Urban Outfitters.
